SonoBat regional classifiers
Rather than just eliminating or including species selections from a general classification approach, SonoBat custom crafts each classifier. The SonoBat classifiers include algorithms and specialized logic steps that implement the decisions an experienced and expert vetter would make to address particular confounding situations for each set of species that could lead to misclassifications. Together with SonoBat’s extensive and thorough reference library this process results in performance accuracy that exceeds that of machine learning and AI approaches. Select a classifier set to best cover the species expected in your study area. Any species that you can exclude from consideration will increase the performance in classifying the remaining species that you expect to have in a your area. If you have other suspected species that might enter your study area you can readily switch classifiers in the main SonoBat panel by right-clicking the classify button or with the region pull-down in the Vetting Table where you can then resort to locate files to inspect.
