In addition to the above, SonoBat has contextual help that provides pop-up information and suggestions. To access that when running SonoBat, press CTRL-H (on a PC) or Command-SHIFT-H (on a Mac) and a pop-up window will appear with information about the feature based on your cursor’s location. Moving your cursor to other features in the SonoBat window will dynamically change the information that displays in the pop-up window.

Training opportunities
Much about recording and interpretation of bat echolocation calls defies intuition. For more information about all the features of SonoBat consider attending a training course or field workshop where students receive intensive training and hands-on use with SonoBat software and bat detector hardware for conducting acoustic surveys.
